Dig it!

THREE-PHASE INSTALLATION PROCESS

This is not an exhaustive item-by-item checklist, but it will give you an idea of what happens during the three-phase Metroplex Pool installation process. It's worth skimming. Really.

PRE-INSTALL

  • Get-to-know-you phone call with Metroplex Pools (we're awesome)
  • In-home get-to-know you visit with Metroplex Pools (even better in person)
  • Learn about Metroplex Pools Installation Process; learn what to expect (we've been doing this a long time)
  • Learn about Leisure Pools, the company (they're from Australia!)
  • Learn about Leisure Pools' product line, configurations, colors, and coolness
  • Learn about Leisure Pools' unbelievable, nobody-does-it-better Lifetime Warranty. Yes, lifetime.
  • Help with financing and financing options
  • Visual inspection of possible installation locations and, yes, we spray paint the pool on your yard (it washes off in the rain -- promise)
  • We go over with you what permits are needed, the permit process, how long it takes, why it's important, and why this corner should NOT be cut

INSTALLATION

  • Delivery of your in ground fiberglass swimming pool, spa, and/or water treatment (it looks impressive on the flatbed!)
  • Delivery of all installation materials, including pea gravel fill for leveling of the pool, re-bar for decking, and the Bob the Builder machinery -- backhoes, cranes, and dump truck (all scaled for the job at hand . . . not too big, not too small)
  • Delivery of support equipment -- the filter, pump, and plumbing and electrical conduit and connection materials
  • We take exact measurements, according to precise schematics, for digging the hole (didn't know there were digging schematics, did you?)
  • This is the really cool part. Once the hole is dug and conditioned with the proper amount of fill material to account for any ground shifting, we pick up the pool with a crane, transport it into the back yard, and carefully lower it into the hole; back filling, and leveling.
  • It's not a good idea to let your pool sit there (so much can happen!), so we measure and prep the deck area with re-bar (it's actually attached to the fiberglass pool for added stability), so you can add the decking materials of choice -- concrete, fancy tile, whatever look you're going for
  • Because we don't believe in "up selling" and we want to get the best pool you can afford, we "future proof" the installation knowing that you'll come back later and add a spa or water treatment. We stub connections and make it easy to add on in the future. At no cost to you.
  • Your pool is filled with water, the back fill and leveling is checked, and adjustments are made (10,000 to 20,000 gallons of water, depending on the pool you chose, is kinda heavy)
  • We double- and triple-check the installation, all connection points, the electrical, the plumbing, the filter, the pump, and anything else what we've done to make sure all is working smoothly

POST-INSTALL

  • Look: How pools operate is confusing for some homeowners, and most installers and pool guys blow through how to take care of a pool so fast your head spins like the girl in the Exorcist. Not Metroplex Pools. We feel your pain. We take time to teach you how the pool is constructed, what's installed, what's underground, where everything is, and what's connected where.
  • We take the time to show you how the pool operates, including spas and water treatments. What happens when you turn on this switch? How long should the pump run? How to clean the filter? How to clean a drain? And, most important, what happens when something isn't working like you expect it to?
  • Know what? Most of us are not chemists, so when it comes to checking the water quality what the heck? We teach you how to put that little measuring thingy into the water, put a few drops in the right cylinder, watch the color change, and then "read" the results. What happens if the chlorine is out of whack? What happens if there is not enough salt? Heaven forbid it rains and everything IS OUT OF WHACK!!!
  • How to skim a pool. Yes, there is a right way, and a wrong way. There are the cheap poles and nets you can buy from your local pool supply (we're not naming names), and then there is the stuff that gets it done quickly and efficiently.
  • When it comes to the filter and pump, we've done you a GIANT favor by choosing equipment that's easy to maintain and service. No taking apart the housing and messing with fins covered in some kind of mesh that you've never, ever seen and know what the heck to do with. And, goodness, if you don't put it all back together EXACTLY like it was you've messed it all up! We've got your back.
  • Yeah, we assist you -- if you need help or prefer not to mess with the mind-numbing process of filling in registration and warranty cards -- with registrations and warranties. You're welcome.
  • Your pool is filled with water, the back fill and leveling is checked, and adjustments are made (10,000 to 20,000 gallons of water, depending on the pool you chose, is kinda heavy)
  • We double- and triple-check the installation, all connection points, the electrical, the plumbing, the filter, the pump, and anything else that we've done to make sure all is working smoothly
